Zarna Garg is about to launch her very own show on CBS! Named Zarna, this multi-camera comedy will follow her inspiring journey from immigrating to the U.S., finishing her education, and spending 16 years as a stay-at-home mom before diving into the world of comedy. The production team includes Darlene Hunt, Mindy Kaling’s Kaling International, Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat, and Warner Bros. Television.
Garg, who gained popularity on TikTok and Instagram by sharing stories about immigrant mothers in America, has made a name for herself in the standup comedy world after winning the 2021 comedy reality show Lyft Comics, produced by Kevin Hart. This unique show showcased emerging comedians performing their routines while posing as Lyft drivers.Â
Last year, she released her first standup special, One In A Billion, on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, she had the opportunity to tour with comedy icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler during their Restless Leg tour. Garg also appeared in Apple TV’s Gutsy, featuring Hillary and Chelsea Clinton. Among her achievements are the 2021 Ladies of Laughter Award and recognition from the Austin Film Festival for her screenplay Rearranged, which won the Best Comedy Prize.
